Majlis Perkahwinan Din & Emy (we're not their photographer)
|
|
Salam,
Yesterday, we went to our friend's wedding reception, Din. Although I'm not so closed with him but I know he 'loves' me a lot! haha..! Kidding Din..
He together with his wife, Emy were amongst our circle of friends. Their photographer on that day were Kalai 'the Otai' and his girlfriend-cum-'partner in crime', Delila. Plus one guy named Azzam (hell, I was so rude for not even chatted with him, sorry Azzam! I know u were busy on that day... )
While shooting some pictures here and there, I managed to take part jamming with 'band kenduri kahwin' for a lil' bit of jazz stuff. I really missed my heyday of jammed session with friends years back...hehe..(but, there were no pictures of mine to show u here, haha)
After the kenduri, we went back to Lou's house as Iwan already tired to death (he didn't sleep from night before and plus, he was our 'driver' anyway...). Couple hours later, I received an SMS from Lou asking me to follow them (together with Kalai and the gangs) for outdoor wedding photoshoot at Taman KLCC. At home, in front of TV, Hatta and I were already started to take a nap because the weather out there was a bit hot and we both felt tired too. So, I decided not to join them... Sorry eh?...Next time ok?

Eric Leong in the house(I meant courtyard...)!!
|
|
On Saturday weekend, Hatta and I went to Mid Valley. Actually, our first intention was to meet at MPH bookstore where from there on we will go to Sony Service Centre to repair my videocam. My videocam had a problem with its LCD screen. It went blank! Frankly speaking, (without any mala fide against Sony's product) one of my friend's Sony viewcam also got the same malfunction after one year she used it. I don't know why, maybe someone from Sony's engineering department got an answer to that.
Back to the story, instead of waiting Hatta till Zuhur, I changed plan and decided to walk by myself to that service centre and found out the service centre only open on weekdays, working hours. I went back to MPH, 'luckily' met Hatta just on the time I walked inside that bookstore and told him all about it. I too, informed Hatta that Eric Leong, who is famous with his Casa Impian series, will also gave talk at MPH's courtyard. On hearing that, Hatta can't disagree no more and finally, as a kind of our 'escapism' on that day, we chose to hear Eric's talk apart from window shopping (I hate window shopping!). Beside just hearing Eric Leong's talk, I 'radically'(tak-tau-malu) went on shooting some pictures of him and several audience too...
Hey guys, do read more about Eric at http://www.ericleong.com.my/

Phew, it's been quite a time we didn't upload new photos on our fotopages. I nearly forgot our password, but thanks to my 'photographic memory' which in many cases did helped me a lot!
Both Asra & Wadie actually are my friends(ex-coursemate), and I knew them since my student days at UPM. Their engagement party was held at Asra's sister house in Kuala Kubu Bharu near Tanjung Malim. It was pretty fun there because we bring along our 'alternative' lighting equipment (I can't tell you here...hehe..it's a secret). And plus, the nasi minyak was awesome! We just got one 'partner-in-crime' following us on that day, Shirhan (Adam & Chiwa couldn't joined us as they were having their so-called 'honeymoon' in Langkawi, ) Thank you Shirhan for the transportation and stuffs!

Fathul (from melody maker to canvas painter, or vice versa?)
|
|
These pictures were captured with Lou's Minolta. I captured its a few time back. Recently, I went to Lou's house to collect all the pictures from his PC. Thanks again Mr. Lou!
Fathullah Luqman Yussuf or as we called him, Fathul is truly an artist. He paint and compose music for his own pleasure. Maybe some of us here knew him from the era of 'undergroundisation' of our local music scene, circa late 80's when he was a frontman of our Industrial/Grind pioneer, Infectious Maggots. Till now, he still what he was then, a visual linguist cum image sculptor. Thus, he make 'art' for a living. Not like most of us in here who still work 9 to 5 (or shift worker). What's the difference between full time artist and a part time one? The product of the work maybe? Oh no, it is the COMMITMENT! He who struggle a lot on becoming what he want, knew the 'price' of living. Paulo Coelho in The Alchemist wrote, "To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation". Therefore, as an artist, Fathul is always obliged with work, work and mere work(sampai mati!)
So, anybody here who dare enough to live as an 'artist'? A pure one?

Yesterday, when I packing up my stuffs to move into my new place, I found a plastic bag full with old family pictures of mine. At that time, I thought why didn't I scan its and upload to my fotopages, isn't that what fotopages for? 'Photo blogging made easy'! (The fact is we don't have any new photo to upload, hehe)
Remember last time when I wrote 'a picture tells blablabla...'? So, these three B&W pictures (I may called it sephia) really reminisce me a lot about my root, my culture, my identity and finally though, my 'destiny'...When were the last time you opened your 'family album'?
Oh yeah, my sis used to be our own family 'model' in her child years (anak buah kesayangan pak2 sedaraku)
P.S - I do have another two brothers in my family. (Abang Shon and my younger bro, Yani)

Phew, last two weeks were very quite boring for us cause we don't have any single photo to shoot! That's why from now on I start saving my twenty cents everyday to buy a SLR in near future, really!
It's been years since I don't design anything with Adobe Photoshop (I graduated from UPM in 2003, so do add it up guys!) hehe...Now, Hatta and I are busy with designing plus editing the pictures and videoclips for our two clients, Sabrie and Shana. That is the second reason we don't have time to shoot pictures, muahaha!
So, these two pictures are my so-called 'original' design using Photoshop. If you don't like it, don't even put your little cursor onto these two images, ok? haha...
